this one is a gem:

1 oz Mezcal,
1 oz Yellow Chartreuse,
3/4 oz Lime juice,
1/4 oz orange juice,
barspoon of sugar.
Shake and strain into a coupe glass.
Garnish with a lime wheel.

# 2 ounces gin
# 3/8 ounce maraschino liqueur
# 3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice
# 3/8 ounce violet liqueur

1oz dry vermouth
1/2 benedictine.

Daily Pimm’sleur

Looking for some interesting drink involving Pimm’s – found this one on the chartreuse importer site. Very good.

In a shaker with no ice, combine
1.5 oz pimms,
1/2 lemon juice,
1/2 lime juice,
1 oz simple syrup,
1/2oz yellow chartreuse,
1 egg white
shake with no ice for a few minutes and then add ice and shake
and strain into a chilled highball nutmeg grated on top

Sweet Inferno

Was leafing through the “Secrets Revealed Of America’s Greatest Cocktails” book today – honestly not that many secrets but this obvious twist on negroni sounded interesting… Campari, creme de cacao (chocolate negroni immediately sprang to mind) and the base liquor being vodka unfortunately. Remedied the latter with subbing vodka with gin:
1.5oz gin (Martin Miller)
0.75oz Campari
0.5oz creme de cacao (Marie Brizard).
garnish with cherry.
The name of the drink, Inferno, puzzled me a bit but once i shot this pic it became sort of obvious…

Liked the idea of using the wine and happened to have a bottle of viognier opened. Tremendous result… tequila works wonders with Domain de Canton

1 1/2 oz. 1800 silver tequila
3/4 oz. Domaine de Canton
1/2 oz. Viognier
